Mexican Bottle Tree + Vintage Limestone Planter

The Mexican Bottle Tree has a sculptural trunk and fine branches that give off a soft, resinous scent of frankincense.

The tree belongs to the same family as frankincense and myrrh, and in Mexico, resin from its relatives has been burned as sacred copal incense for centuries.

Over the cooler months it drops all of its leaves, revealing papery, peeling bark and a branching form that is just as striking bare.

Planted in a tall, cylindrical vintage limestone planter, it needs the brightest spot you have, with direct sun.

Every piece is planted into its vessel in our studio, then delivered by our own team of two to three people. We carry it into your home, install it and place it exactly where you want it, ready to enjoy from the moment we leave.

Each delivery comes with a complimentary moisture meter, so you’ll always know when your plant needs water.
