Queensland Bottle Tree + Solstice Planter

A Queensland Bottle Tree with a swollen, water-storing trunk and a light, open canopy above.

Native to the dry hillsides of central Queensland, the bottle tree stores water in its swollen trunk, which thickens and becomes more sculptural with age.

It sits in our Solstice planter in noir, a low, wide form in lightweight concrete that keeps the eye on the trunk. Place it on a console, sideboard or dining table in your brightest spot.

Specifications

Height: 860 mm
Width: 550 mm

Light & Care

Light: Bright indirect or direct
Care: Easy. Water deeply, then let the mix dry right through. The trunk stores water, so it forgives a missed week. Bottle trees can be partly deciduous, dropping some or all of their leaves in winter or after a dry spell; they return in spring.
