Queensland Bottle Tree + Solstice Planter

A towering Queensland Bottle Tree that rises well above its vessel, with a dramatic, top-heavy silhouette.

Native to the dry hillsides of central Queensland, the bottle tree stores water in its swollen trunk, which thickens and becomes more sculptural with age.

It sits in our small Solstice planter in noir, the low, dark form in lightweight concrete exaggerating the height of the tree. Place it on a low plinth or sideboard where it has room to rise.

Specifications

Height: 1210 mm
Width: 660 mm
Depth: 600 mm

Light & Care

Light: Bright indirect or direct
Care: Easy. Water deeply, then let the mix dry right through. The trunk stores water, so it forgives a missed week. Bottle trees can be partly deciduous, dropping some or all of their leaves in winter or after a dry spell; they return in spring.
