Queensland Bottle Tree + Solstice Planter

A sprawling Queensland Bottle Tree with a broad crown that spreads wider than the tree is tall.

Native to the dry hillsides of central Queensland, the bottle tree stores water in its swollen trunk, which thickens and becomes more sculptural with age.

It sits in our medium Solstice planter in antique white, a low, wide form in lightweight concrete. Give it a generous spot on a low console or plinth, in bright light.

Specifications

Height: 1250 mm
Width: 1200 mm
Depth: 770 mm

Light & Care

Light: Bright indirect or direct
Care: Easy. Water deeply, then let the mix dry right through. The trunk stores water, so it forgives a missed week. Bottle trees can be partly deciduous, dropping some or all of their leaves in winter or after a dry spell; they return in spring.
