Queensland Bottle Tree + Solstice Planter

A full-crowned Queensland Bottle Tree with a broad, airy canopy almost as wide as it is tall.

Native to the dry hillsides of central Queensland, the bottle tree stores water in its swollen trunk, which thickens and becomes more sculptural with age.

It sits in our small Solstice planter in antique white, a low, wide form in lightweight concrete that lets the canopy float above it. Give it room on a dining table or sideboard in bright light.

Specifications

Height: 710 mm
Width: 720 mm
Depth: 700 mm

Light & Care

Light: Bright indirect or direct
Care: Easy. Water deeply, then let the mix dry right through. The trunk stores water, so it forgives a missed week. Bottle trees can be partly deciduous, dropping some or all of their leaves in winter or after a dry spell; they return in spring.
