Queensland Bottle Tree + Solstice Planter

A tall Queensland Bottle Tree with a strong trunk and a full canopy.

Native to the dry hillsides of central Queensland, the bottle tree stores water in its swollen trunk, which thickens and becomes more sculptural with age.

It is set in our small Solstice planter in antique white, a low, wide form in lightweight concrete. Big tree, low vessel: give it a sturdy console or plinth in bright light.

Light & Care

Light: Bright indirect or direct
Care: Easy. Water deeply, then let the mix dry right through. The trunk stores water, so it forgives a missed week. Bottle trees can be partly deciduous, dropping some or all of their leaves in winter or after a dry spell; they return in spring.

Every piece is planted directly into its vessel by our studio, so it arrives complete and ready to place.
Collect free from our Leichhardt studio, or choose delivery by our team at checkout: $35 within 10 km, or $80 from 10 to 35 km on our set delivery days. Beyond 35 km, please contact us for a quote.
