Queensland Bottle Tree + Vintage Terracotta Table Planter

A Queensland Bottle Tree with a characterful, swollen trunk set low in a vintage terracotta table planter.

Native to the dry hillsides of central Queensland, the bottle tree stores water in its swollen trunk, which thickens and becomes more sculptural with age.

The aged clay has the soft, uneven colour that only comes with years of use, and pairs naturally with the tree's earthy bark. Place it on a sideboard or dining table in bright light.

Specifications

Height: 620 mm
Width: 390 mm
Depth: 380 mm

Light & Care

Light: Bright indirect or direct
Care: Easy. Water deeply, then let the mix dry right through. The trunk stores water, so it forgives a missed week. Bottle trees can be partly deciduous, dropping some or all of their leaves in winter or after a dry spell; they return in spring.
